When the physical letter arrives, it is logged into custody and stored sealed. That is when the twelve-month hold begins.

Why paper
The delay is not a limitation. It is the service.

- What does one order include?
- One sealed original paper letter per order.
- When does the twelve-month hold begin?
- The twelve-month hold starts when the physical letter reaches Laterpost and is logged, not on purchase date.
- When do I need to mail my letter?
- The letter must be mailed to Laterpost within 21 days of purchase.
- What can I send?
- Letter format: up to four A4 or US-letter pages. Do not send cash, valuables, hazardous material, illegal material, or anything other than a paper letter.
- Will Laterpost read or copy my letter?
- Laterpost makes no digital copy and does not read the letter except where operational handling is unavoidable.
- Can I change my return address?
- Address changes are accepted up to 30 days before the scheduled dispatch date.
- Is the dispatch date guaranteed?
- Dispatch dates are estimates and can move for postal or operational disruption.
- What if my letter is lost in custody?
- If a letter is lost while in Laterpost custody, Laterpost refunds the $39 purchase price; the original letter is inherently irreplaceable.
- What is included in the price?
- Standard return postage and tracking are included for the launch delivery zone.
- Who can reserve a letter?
- Purchaser must be 18+.
